Start with workflow, not fear
An industrial or commercial Vastu review should map the movement of people, raw material, finished goods, vehicles, waste, utilities and decision-making. Recommendations that interrupt safety or production are not practical recommendations.
The first survey should therefore combine a directional plan with photographs, measurements, department locations and the sequence of work.
Entrance and movement
The main gate and reception influence arrival, visibility and circulation. A clear, well-lit entrance with unobstructed movement is more valuable than a symbolic correction that creates congestion.
- Keep emergency and logistics routes compliant and unobstructed.
- Separate visitor movement from heavy-vehicle circulation where possible.
- Use signage and lighting to support confident wayfinding.
Leadership and administration
Traditional Vastu often places senior decision-making in the south or west with attention toward north or east. In practice, the room must also support privacy, oversight, acoustics and efficient access to teams.
Machinery, heat and electrical load
Heavy machinery is commonly considered for south, west or south-west zones, while heat and electrical processes are associated with the south-east. Engineering requirements, fire safety, vibration, load and statutory compliance always take priority.
- Review actual load paths and ventilation.
- Keep hazardous operations away from public circulation.
- Never relocate machinery solely for an astrological reason without engineering approval.
Water, storage and dispatch
Water systems are often reviewed in the north or north-east; heavy storage is usually preferred toward south or west. Dispatch planning should follow a clean operational sequence and avoid cross-traffic with incoming raw material.
A sensible audit process
A useful report grades findings into three levels: immediate low-cost corrections, operational changes requiring planning, and structural ideas only when renovation is already intended. This keeps Vastu proportionate and financially responsible.
- Share a scaled plan with north marked.
- List every department and major machine.
- Note recurring operational difficulties.
- Review recommendations with safety and engineering teams.
